Happiness, Choice, Satisfaction, Purpose
We discussed what makes us happy, what happiness is--occurrent (happy feelings now) and judgmental (my life is going well). We also discussed whether happiness was a worthy goal for life. A brief mention of "eudaimonia" -- the Aristotelian notion of happiness as living the good, purpose filled life.
We watched the Ted video on psychological studies of happiness and how people "synthesize" happiness.
